How It Works

1) Local employers commit to providing part-time jobs to the ELITE Job Bank.

2) District 150 high school counselors identify economically disadvantaged youth.

3) ELITE staff visit each school seeking volunteer candidates for the training program.

4) Candidates are screened and selected.

5) Students complete an exacting 9-week training program leading to job certification.

6) Program graduates interview with sponsoring employers for jobs.

7) Graduates are employed and begin work.

8) Graduates continue to attend and perform in school.

9) Employers get quality, certified employees.

10) Everyone benefits.
